Review : James Cameron Aliens

Aliens is a Sci fi horror and possibly the best film made by James Cameron in my opinion.
Ripley(Sigourney Weaver) still recovering from her encounter from the first film  wakes up half a century later and is asked to join a group of soldiers to look into the disappearance of  the population of a colony.

This film constantly gets draws in your attention, and brings you too the edge of your seat grabbing you and bringing you into the film . The action scenes contain some of the most original  scenes i've ever seen and doesn't go in the usual fashion of  horror movie's where one person dies at a time, or the usual action where everyone seems to be bullet proof and inhuman.
Aliens really comes out showing that the characters are really human. They all have fears and a personality and really rely on each other , it really gets across how human they really are all through out the film where they have emotional break down and are not inhuman steel eating machines.
At one point you have a Hardened marine  having a break down and having to be put back in place by the Ripley which relaly puts spin on the whole male strong female weak view.

Unlike some other movie's it does not take any stereotypical stances , Ripley not hiding behind the rugged brave soldiers but instead takes a leading role getting the green soldiers and hard head ones into line.
this movie does not loose any momentum gaining atmosphere and story to the very end.
one of the biggest  atmosphere builders are the motion sensors they use  beep at almost a heart beat pace.
By making the film have a strong female character this brought a new unique view of strong female characters and possibly played a role at the time , because of women's right ect.

although a bit dated and grainy, unless you buy the blue ray. This film to me stands out and is extremely good, and has alot of re watch value. even though you know what coming you cant help be jump or get emersed into the film . in fact that possibly makes the film even better the more you watch it .

over all id strongly recommend this to watch. definitely a must watch from me
