Final poster

These are some Posters i designed.
I did not want too  add too much and make it cluttered. I wanted it to be sweet and simple. It is only made of
a couple of images , I was not too sure on what colour would suit it so I uploaded 2 , I thought the cooler colour made it look alot more attractive. but the white made it stand out more to me.
However is find the font a bit displeasing and lonely so I may add changes too it soon.

Research into Posters

This is just an example of a fan poster mode about

This is a poster made to advertise Avatar. I find it Looks visually stuning and really gets across how good the movie could look luring me in, while also looking interesting with the silhouette of something flying which draws me in even more because I want to know what it is and why it is relevant to the film.
The back ground of the image is like nothing i've seen and reveals what the sort of setting the film will be like and also what could be included.
The Images of the actors that will be in the film help establish what the main characters will be. This helps show the mood of the film and just single them out so people will look out for them while watching.

The gorrilaz

 Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett
The Gorrillaz
Virtual band, consisting of 4 animated members 2d(lead vocals, keyboard) noodle(guitar vocals and keyboard.) Russell(drummer) and Murdoc(bass). behind the animated characters would be the live band its self and the animators for the show.
Live their style would be to have the band on stage playing with the songs music video or a animation of the band singing dancing projected onto the back ground which would attract most of the attention. their was even an occasion where they had 3d animations which where on stage playing instruments  and the live band hidden . .
The idea of the band came together as they where watching MTV and talked about how their was no substance. They formed a trio and designed characters which would be the front of the band. their first few songs would be the creation of their bands own style .
After their Debut album success followed as they appeared in adverts  and game trailers.
One of the things which show the success of the gorillas franchise is that they managed to get an episode of  Mtv . the entire episode was animated and they created a house for them. this helped reinforce their characters and publicise them.

I believe this band attracts a very broad audience , people who love their music, interested in the characters and animation and even interested in the art style. I mean the first time i saw them i was talking about them and watched more on them because I wanted to see the

James Cameron

James Cameron
Mini Bio ( source :IMDB)
James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada, on August 16, 1954. He moved to the USA in 1971. The son of an engineer, he majored in physics at California State University but, after graduating, drove a truck to support his screen-writing ambition. He landed his first professional film job as art director, miniature-set builder, and process-projection supervisor on Roger Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) and debuted as a director with Piranha Part Two: The Spawning (1981) the following year.

In 1984, he wrote and directed
The Terminator (1984), a futuristic action-thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, and Linda Hamilton. It was a huge success. After this came a string of successful science-fiction action films such as Aliens (1986) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). Cameron is now one of the most sought-after directors in Hollywood. He was formerly married to producer Gale Anne Hurd, who produced several of his films. He married Kathryn Bigelow in 1989.

In his resent film “Sanctum” He talked about how he researched the psychology of survival before starting the production of movie to make it accurate and show that things happen deeper in people mentally and not just the outside for instance, people who you’d thing brave and leader like may become cowards while others who wouldn’t see them self as brave become a heroic figure.
He goes on to explains that he took the real ordeal of Andrew Wright when he got stuck in a cave with other divers and added fictional parts to create this film. But also to give the audience a feel of emersion asking them self what they would do in that situation.
Though research in a couple more interviews about this film he went into depth explaining how he wanted the movie to be about the people not animals monsters or anything super natural. The thing your ment to ask yourself while watching “sanctum” is what are they thinking what would i do in that situation and be able to see how human behaviour is focusing on things which give off a deeper meaning then just the terror of monsters but the terror of human instinct of survival.

After being asked were there any discoveries during the making of the film that you can share either in terms of technique, technology or storytelling?
He replied how cameras improve daily, directors seeing what they want to improve and directors of photography and explained how it was vital to the progress and next generation of film, improving cameras or filming equipment.
And says how eventually 3d films will lift the entire market.
He openly encourages the advancements of technology and explained how he needs directors need to adapt to the technology for instance 3D which can produce pieces of art or even cheapen the look of a film if it isn’t used correctly. When James Cameron was asked about 3d Filming and how people think he revolutionised the 3d industry he talked about how each director makes a 3d film differently and how it’s like colour and sound to people everyone has a different colour pallet from which to choose from. He  Also described filming with the advancement of technology like”  it’s like building a race car, racing it and running back to the shop and working with it some more, tinkering with it to improve it ”

The first transformer series came out in 1984 and was published by Marvel Comics

The writers  Bob Budiansky edited the original 4-part limited series and wrote the book from issue #5 to issue #55. After that, Simon Furman, already heavily experienced from his work on the UK book, took up the reins until the book was canceled at issue #80.
Their where many main artists but the most frequent pencilers included Frank Springer, Don Perlin,Jose Delbo, Geoff Senior, and Andrew Wildman.and also only one person who  coloured every single issue of the book, as well as all of the related mini-series. Nel Yomtov.

Review : James Cameron Aliens

Aliens is a Sci fi horror and possibly the best film made by James Cameron in my opinion.
Ripley(Sigourney Weaver) still recovering from her encounter from the first film  wakes up half a century later and is asked to join a group of soldiers to look into the disappearance of  the population of a colony.

This film constantly gets draws in your attention, and brings you too the edge of your seat grabbing you and bringing you into the film . The action scenes contain some of the most original  scenes i've ever seen and doesn't go in the usual fashion of  horror movie's where one person dies at a time, or the usual action where everyone seems to be bullet proof and inhuman.
Aliens really comes out showing that the characters are really human. They all have fears and a personality and really rely on each other , it really gets across how human they really are all through out the film where they have emotional break down and are not inhuman steel eating machines.
At one point you have a Hardened marine  having a break down and having to be put back in place by the Ripley which relaly puts spin on the whole male strong female weak view.

Unlike some other movie's it does not take any stereotypical stances , Ripley not hiding behind the rugged brave soldiers but instead takes a leading role getting the green soldiers and hard head ones into line.
this movie does not loose any momentum gaining atmosphere and story to the very end.
one of the biggest  atmosphere builders are the motion sensors they use  beep at almost a heart beat pace.
By making the film have a strong female character this brought a new unique view of strong female characters and possibly played a role at the time , because of women's right ect.

although a bit dated and grainy, unless you buy the blue ray. This film to me stands out and is extremely good, and has alot of re watch value. even though you know what coming you cant help be jump or get emersed into the film . in fact that possibly makes the film even better the more you watch it .

over all id strongly recommend this to watch. definitely a must watch from me
